Bullying and Cyberbullying

“Staying safe from Cyber Bullying”, because the effects of bullying can be devastating, humiliated, feeling helpless, angry, depressed, or even suicidal. If the technology is added with bullying then it’s called Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying can occur anywhere, even at home and schoolyard also, via Smartphone, e-mail, texts, and social media, 24 hours a day, where hundreds of people involved every time. At present time it’s a growing problem, so protect your friends and familiar at anytime and anywhere. 

The term Cyberbullying includes a range of aggressive behaviors committed via modern technology and the goal of the cyberbullying is to harass, demean, intimidate. 

 

Bullying: - Bullying is repeated aggressive behavior that can be physical, verbal, or relation in person or online. Bullying are often over and over again for long periods of time. Physical bullying: - includes hitting, kicking, or pushing, stealing, hiding to anyone’s things, and harassment. Verbal bullying: - includes name-calling, teasing, taunting, insulting or verbally abusing to anyone.

Cyberbullying: - Cyberbullying occurs when someone uses digital technology, such as the Internet, e-mails, text messages, or social media to harass or humiliate anyone. Unlike traditional bullying, cyberbullying doesn’t require face-to-face contract.

 

Today Bullying and Cyberbullying have a huge range of effects such as:-

  • Anyone made to feel hurt, angry, helpless, hopeless, isolated, and even guilty that the bullying is somehow your faith.
  • It creates various types of physical problem that anyone likely to suffer and also increase mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
  • Its affect the schoolyard also and that’s for students are likely to miss, skip, and drop out of the school to avoid being bullied.
  • Cyberbullying can be occurred anytime and anywhere. Suppose even some places where everyone feel safe, such as home, but cyberbullying can be happened any places.
  • Most of time bullying and cyberbullying leads to anyone for feeling suicide.

 

Prevent Cyberbullying before it starts:-

One of the best ways to stop cyberbullying is to prevent the problem before its start –

  • Refuse to pass along cyberbullying message.
  • Block communication with cyber bullies; delete messages without reading them.
  • Never share own internet password with anyone.
  • Never share or post personal information to any unknown website.
  • Always be as polite online when you are sending a message to another person.

To prevent cyberbullying parents should always monitor a child’s use of          technology:-

  • Block inappropriate web contents and control apps on the child’s Smartphone or tablet.
  • Limited data access to the Smartphone or tablet.
  • Know the password or patterns to the child’s Smartphone or tablet.
